![]() ![]() I have not figured out how to add the games to a collection but I was able to add my directory "NES ROMS" to the list under load content. OK I figured out my problem.I was not downloading the newest updates (which were at the bottom of the list on the site).I still have to download some thumbnails for the games I have and add them in manually. It plays great so no issue there, just cant make the directory stick. Take for instance I have a hacked version of metroid and left the name alone but it is actually Metroid Rogue Dawn. If I have hacked ROMs will those still show up? I have them named after the original game that was hacked. I tried other emulators but my games didn't play well in them so I didn't bother trying to scan directories. MERGED -ĭo I need to have the retroarch_3ds.CIA installed also? I installed it but it just gives a black screen. ![]() I am using Libretro QuickNES 1.4.1 1.0 WIP f7238df The ROMs play fine but no saved game files created and I have to use the save state from within the ROM to save my game. If I scroll over to Import Content and scan that folder (or any folder for that matter) I get "An error has occurred." message that reloads to the 3ds home screen. Everything else either lags horribly or crashes or is right out "New3DS exclusive", bombastically advertised as such even, à-la-XBC.I can load ROMs through the "Load Content" on the main menu, I have to look through the files and get to my NES ROMS folder then choose the ROM I want to load. At least I feel I have a good justification now for visiting the general thread again and seeing if re-asking stuff is worth it.īecause, right now, for o3DS, it appears that the only functional emulator for Nintendo consoles is SNES9xO3DS. So it is good to hear that the project is being paid more attention, I hope it is from all ends of the spectrum, both users and developers. And asking for assistance both in the thread and in other places was just cast out to the winds. It only tells you what host/guest combinations do they support, but not how. The wiki was pretty much unnavigable for the purpose of finding samples of a certified working configuration / setup. Pretty much none of the ones I was interested in worked (NES and GBA), despite the GABt Retroarch thread assuring they did. I always felt when navigating their wiki and the GBAtemp thread that no one was paying them attention, not even themselves. ![]() I've heard retroarch mentioned a couple of times, but never bothered to pay it enough attention until I started homebrewing my machine more seriously. I so much did not know I wanted to see this discussion. Thanks to /u/MachMatic for creating the subreddit banner!
